NASA & SpaceX’s Successful Space Launch

It was trending on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020, and again on Saturday, May 30th, 2020, on most social media platforms. NASA and SpaceX’s multiple years of preparation were finally coming to fruition, as the big day came for not just NASA and SpaceX, but for all enthusiasts of space exploration. It was going to be the first launch from US soil in almost a decade.

On Wednesday, May 27th, 2020, NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley were set to launch into space aboard the Crew Dragon and meet fellow astronauts Chris Cassidy (USA), Anatoly Ivanishin (Russia), and Ivan Wagner (Russia) at the International Space Station. Launch America was heavily trending, because it was broadcasting the launch live on NASA TV. During a time when every student was bored at home, the launch offered hope and inspiration.

But it was too rainy that day in Cape Canaveral and the launch was postponed just an hour or two before launch. Don’t worry, though, because the heroes of our story Bob and Doug were able to launch into space just 3 days later on Saturday, May 30th, 2020. Their voyage was out of this world (Get it? LOL!), and they reached the ISS safely.
